If you’ve been considering listing your home for sale, don’t wait! The National Association of Realtors’ (NAR) Chief Economist, Lawrence Yun, says,
“While feedback from REALTORS® continues to suggest healthy levels of buyer interest, available listings that are move-in ready and in affordable price ranges remain hard to come by for many would-be buyers.”
That means that buyer demand is greater than the supply of homes for sale – a very good thing for sellers.
The most recent Existing Home Sales Report notes that there is currently a 5.1-month supply of available homes for sale. That number is lower than the 6-month supply required for a normal market and well below November 2014 numbers. Any amount less than a six-month supply is considered a “sellers’ market.”
