Step 6 To Selling a Home: Deep Clean
There's a saying in real estate:
"The way we live in a home is not the way we sell a home."
This is pretty much a no-brainer: buyers want to see (and smell) a fresh, clean home. The first place they're going to see that is in the professional photos of your home.
For that reason, a deep clean should be done the day before or the morning of the photography appointment. We want your home to be sparkling clean, especially the kitchen and bathrooms, because nothing turns a buyer off more than a dirty home.
We understand that not everyone has the time (or energy!) to give their home a full, thorough deep clean, and not everyone has a regular cleaning service. If you don’t want to personally clean your home and you don't have a regular cleaning service that you can call upon, we’d be happy to send our cleaning service over to clean it. We use Amazon Cleaning for our own move-out cleans of our rental properties and a number of our clients have used them and loved them, as well. They offer reasonable pricing, a reliable online quote, and a discount to our clients. If you’d like us to assist with getting that scheduled for you, let us know and we can take care of setting up the appointment.
All staging and repairs should be done before the cleaners come over to clean -- this should be the very last step! Once your home has been cleaned, please do your very best to keep it clean going forward. If it needs to be cleaned again at any point, just let us know and we can set up another appointment for you.
