Step 29 To Selling a Home: Mortgage Approval and Clear to Close
A few days before the closing date, the buyer should get the Clear to Close from the mortgage lender. This means the buyer’s mortgage has been fully approved!
We check in frequently with the buyer's lender and the closing attorney, so we should get word the day the Clear to Close is given...or within a day or so (buyers, along with their REALTOR® and lender, are usually thrilled to share this news -- it's just as exciting for them!), and we will, of course, pass it along to you!
From here, the buyer's REALTOR® will schedule the final walk-through with us, and we will be just a few days from closing!
