MILTON is a city with a population of 32, 661, according to the 2010 census, in what was formerly Milton County, named for Revolutionary War hero John Milton. It was created from the entire unincorporated northwestern section of Fulton County (38.7 square miles) and incorporated on December 1, 2006. It is a highly affluent community bounded by the cities of Roswell and Alpharetta on the south and by the counties of Forsyth on the east and Cherokee on the north and west. A few popular communities within Milton’s city limits include White Columns, Crooked Creek, and Crabapple Crossroads.
In 2011, The Atlanta Business Chronicle, ranked the City of Milton as having the highest quality of life in the state of Georgia and the ninth-highest quality of life in the south. You can read the full article here.
